NORTHWEST JUNIORS ADIDAS CLASSIC
U14 Tournament

February 6, 2010

Tillicum Middle School

For Directions to Tillicum Middle SchoolGym doors open at 7:30 am.  There will be a MANDATORY coaches meeting at 8:00 (please bring your team roster).  The first match is scheduled to start at 8:30 am

Note: We only have the gym until 6:00 PM, so we need to get a quick start and keep the tournament moving along.  Should we run late, there is the possibility that the Final would be shortened to one game.

Gym Rules:

  • No food or drink allowed in the gym.

  • Capped water bottles are acceptable.

  • Please do not block any exits with bags, equipment, or chairs.

  • No ball handling in the cafeteria.

ADDITIONAL RULES (emailed to coaches):

1)      Parking: This is an inconvenience, but no one can park in the parking lot the morning of the tournament.  Players need to be dropped off, and parents can park on the road.  The Bellevue Ski school uses Tillicum as a pick up/drop-off on Saturday mornings and they have rights to the parking lot on Saturday mornings.  I believe their pick up is around 10 AM.  Once the busses depart, the parents can move their cars into the lot if they wish and should be ok for the rest of the day.  This is VERY IMPORTANT, as they will tow cars that are parked there and in the way of their cars and/or the busses.

2)      Food, Coolers, bags: We have reserved the cafeteria adjacent to the gym for all food, equipment, etc.  Please ask your players and parents to put all their bags, coolers, food, equipment, etc. in the cafeteria and DO NOT BRING THEM IN THE GYM.  There just is not enough room in the gym for all the extra equipment.  Ball carts and Bags are allowed in the gym, of course, but with so little space, it might be a good idea to bring them into the gym just when you need them for your warm-ups, etc.

3)      Clean-up: We would ask that your families pick up completely after themselves in the cafeteria.  A lot of food and paper items were left behind after the last tournament leaving a big mess for the custodial staff, and it was not appreciated.  There are plenty of garbage cans in the cafeteria.  Please throw away garbage, and please take what you bring… (thank-you)

There will be no playoff matches to break ties.  Tiebreakers:

  1. Two-way tie (in game w/l record) -- Result of head to head match.  First by games then by score (+/- differential).  If still tied, then overall + points in pool.  If still tied, coin flip.

  2. Three-way tie (in game w/l record) -- First place is best overall point differential in the matches involving the 3 teams.  To break the remaining two-way tie, see #1 above.
