SERIES EVENT #1 EVENT RECAP
The
Northwest Volleyball Junior Beach Series opened up with a bang!
Opening weekend saw some great competition highlighted by a 48
team tournament on Saturday, June 5th.
The
tournament featured four age groups -- with 16 teams each in the
U16 and U14 divisions and 8 teams each in the U20 and U12
Divisions. With the 90 degree week leading up to the
opening weekend, participants were prepared for a scorcher, but
were pleasantly surprised (depending on who you talk to) with a
mild 70 degree cloudy day and no burned feet! All
individuals were given series tee-shirt for participating in the
series, and raffle tickets were given out for the end of season
raffle in August.
Great competition was evident in each age group, and it looks
like there will be some great teams competing throughout the
summer for our NET SYSTEM.
