TEAMS: This is the number of teams that are in your
DIVISION that day.
PLACE: This is what place you take that day.
POINTS: This is how many points you get that day
based on your finish. Remember, the individual (in each
division) with the
most points after the 3 series events (6 tournaments) will get
the Prize Package for that division. The larger the number
of participants in that division over the 3 events, the larger
the grand prize. If you play both days (M/W and Coed) you
double your chances at earning points. If you play in
multiple divisions, you lessen your chances... These are the
division Grand Prizes that will be awarded:
-
AA (Either Men's,
Women's or Reverse Doubles) -- One Award
-
A (Either Men's,
Women's or Reverse Doubles) -- One Award
-
BB/B (Either Men's,
Women's or Reverse Doubles) -- One Award
-
Juniors (either boys,
girls, or coed, no cash prizes) -- One Award
-
Example --
-
Saturday,
July 12, Men's A, 16 teams, 3rd place = 14 Points
-
Sunday, July
13, Reverse Doubles A, 24 Teams, 5th Place = 20 Points
-
Saturday,
August 2, Men's BB/B, 24 Teams, 1st place = 25 points
towards BB prize, 0 towards A prize
-
Sunday,
August 3, Reverse Doubles A, 8 teams, 1st place = 9
points
-
Saturday,
September 6, Men's A, 32 teams, 5th place = 28 points
-
Sunday,
September 7, Reverse A, 16 teams, 1st place, 17 points
-
TOTALS:
88 points in the A Division, 25 points in the BB
division
NOTE: 32 team or larger divisions will be split after
pool play, into an Upper and a Lower Division, winning the upper
division will still result in Maximum points based on total
teams in that division. First place in Lower Division will
receive less points than last place in the Upper
Division.

Because of the greater emphasis placed on earning points for the
series, we will use simple math to try to seed each event after
the first. Our hope is that participants play in all the
events -- thus allowing for a more accurate seeding. For
example, if there are 16 teams in a tournament, whenever
possible this is how the pools will be seeded:
|
Pool A |
Pool B |
Pool C |
Pool D |
|
seed 1 |
seed 2 |
seed 3 |
seed 4 |
|
seed 8 |
seed 7 |
seed 6 |
seed 5 |
|
seed 9 |
seed 10 |
seed 11 |
seed 12 |
|
seed 16 |
seed 15 |
seed 14 |
seed 13 |
Teams and or partners playing in their first events
will be seeded lower...
Pool Seeds:
- Partner A, 20 points, Partner B, 18 Points = 38 points
together
- Partner A, 22 points, Partner B, 15 Points = 37 points
together
- Partner A, 18 Points, Partner B, 18 Points = 36 points
together
- Etc.
