We started this league in the SUMMER OF 2010 and had 6 teams our first year.  We have room for up to 24 total teams at our field and hope that more teams join us in 2011.  Fours is a popular outdoor format for junior players -- because it employs rules from doubles as well as from sixes.  It's also easier to find 3 teammates to commit to playing 8 weeks in the summer!  Come out and enjoy the sun and competitive play.

League Cost is $280 per team

AGES (2011 USAV age group): U16, U14 & U12 teams are encouraged to enter, but teams may be mixed during early rounds and separated by skill level as opposed to age group

ALL PLAYERS MUST BE USAV MEMBERS: If you did not play USAV Junior Volleyball during the 2011 season, an OUTDOOR membership can be purchased for $15, which allows participation in outdoor leagues and tournaments throughout the summer.  GET A MEMBERSHIP

* Open to junior female players of all ages

* Play up to 2 matches per night. Self-officiated.

* Play begins at 6:00 PM each night and ends at approximately 8:30 PM

League Format The intended (assuming multiples of 3) format is to have 3 teams to a net each night, and each team will play 2 matches and ref once (like a 3-team pool).  Play will be two games to 25 in a 45-50 minute window.  Play begins at 6:00 pm. and ends around 8:30 pm each night.  Over the course of the first 6 weeks of the league, each team will get 12 matches.  The results of those matches will seed the teams into a tournament in weeks 7 & 8 (all teams play all 8 weeks).  In order for matches to start on time, we ask that all three teams assigned to a court for that day arrive in time to set up their net -- with three teams on each net, nets will go up with little effort and teams can have extra time to warm-up before their first match.  Refereeing teams are responsible for Up and down officiating and scorekeeping.  Lines calls are "honor calls".

Depending on how many teams register, you'll play each team more than once and we re-seed to divisions after the first time through the league.  The first night, matches do count, however, we do not usually post the schedule for the first week ahead of time.  This allows teams to register up until the first day of the league -- if space allows.  After the first week, you'll find schedule and standings links on this page.

Outdoor Rules: We will use USAV Outdoors Rules, which addressed differences between doubles, triples, fours, and sixes.
