Lid. They have an added competition -- put together a great
poker hand and get a bonus prize. Every win gets you a card
off the deck -- any one at any level is eligible for the Poker
Prize.

many of you know, we have a special relationship with the Bellevue
Community College Volleyball Program (NWVB Director Tony
Miranda is the Head Coach there). Two tournaments on the
schedule will benefit the Volleyball Scholarship program at
BCC. Please attend to help pay for scholarships -- you can
say you helped bring a championship to Bellevue!

Alki Beach is one the best
beaches in the Northwest, with a great Puget Sound view and a
lot of "atmosphere" on a hot Summer day. This will be an AVP Next Rating event for the Northwest's Best
Sand Players. Saturday features men's and women's
doubles. Sunday features a rare coed sixes sand event. PRIZE
MONEY: For teams that
qualify into the Highest Division -- Men's Doubles ($1000
pot), Women's Doubles ($500 pot).

This will be a great end of
season tournament at Seattle's Largest Park. We offer
innovative tournaments for the AA players this weekend.
Saturday will be a men's and women's King/Queen
of the Grass Competition with
the best players in the Northwest vying for the title of King or
Queen of the Grass -- $250 minimum to the individual winner (min. 16
players); Sunday we offer the biggest REVERSE payday all summer as a
$1000 pot is up for grabs in the Reverse AA division. What
a way to end the summer! |

(Juniors, fours, etc.)

We offer cash and prizes for the
AA divisions of play on some occasions. They
are indicated on the schedule. For those special events, the AA division entry
fee is higher. We reserve the right to
limit entries due to space limitations.

Descriptions of
Levels of Play
- Open (AA) -- Highest level of Skill.
- A -- Well skilled, can sideout very
consistently
- BB -- Can serve consistently, and can bump,
set, spike
- Intermediate -- A/BB
- B/Rec -- Bump, set, spike on an inconsistent
basis

Entry Fees
- Entry fees are listed for each specific division.
- High School and under = $5 discount per player
for adult doubles tournament (student ID required)
- $10 additional charge per team for on-site
registration
- $10 additional late charge if you check-in after
8:45AM if room and time permits
- PLEASE BE EARLY AND AVOID THE LATE FEE!

Check-In, Refund, T-Shirt, and Cancellation Policies

Check-in and
Walk-up registration begins at 8:00 am.

Tournaments begin at 9:00 am sharp.

You must be checked-in at the Event Site by 8:45 AM.

For tee-shirt events, you will get one tee-shirt per
weekend, even if you play twice. You *will not* receive T-Shirts if you check-in after
8:30 AM.
-
You may lose your spot in the tournament if you check-in
after 8:45 AM.
-
No Refunds for late arrivals.
-
If you are under 18 your
parent or guardian must sign a waiver (your
membership registration form).
-
If it is raining: You must show up at the tournament,
check-in, and be prepared to play.
-
We virtually never cancel an event. If we do, it will
be posted on our homepage at www.volleyballnw.com
-
Sand tournaments are not canceled because of rain.
-
In the highly unlikely event that we do cancel an event due
to an earthquake, Tsunami, or similar event, credits will be
given to future events.
-
If you enter by phone, fax, or E-Mail and chose not to show
up you will lose your phone/fax/E-Mail entry privileges for
the rest of the season.
-
If your teammate has lost their phone entry privilege you
may enter your team by phone/fax/E-Mail but be warned, you are risking
your phone entry privileges and we will accept no excuses for
your team not playing whether your partner shows or not.
-
The office closes at 1 PM on Fridays
(Thursday for out of town tournaments). You will reach our
answering machine after that time. Messages left after
that time are not retrieved until Monday.
-
No Phone/Fax/E-Mail Entries will be accepted after NOON on
Fridays
(Thursday for out of town tournaments).
-
You may enter On-Site at the Event
ONLY if space allows, walk-up registration includes a $10 late
fee.
MEMBERSHIP
(TOP)
For
the 2003 Outdoor Season, All participants must be AVPNext
Members [more info]. Membership is $10.00 per person ($5.00 for
Juniors). Membership is paid for when you register for
your first outdoor event -- it will be added to your
registration fee. You will fill out paperwork and
receive your card at the tournament site. Or you can
download and print out a membership form and bring it with you to
the tournament [form in .PDF].
Once you are a member, simply
put your membership number on your registration form and you will
be registered for the tournament. An online database will
list membership numbers for your convenience. For juniors, a
parent signature is needed on the form, therefore, we recommend
you bring the completed form with you to tournament check-in.
