2008 Outdoor Tournaments

ADULT MEMBERSHIP:

All ADULT participants in Northwest Volleyball outdoor events (tournaments and leagues) must be AVP Next Members. To get your membership:

You can mail in your application ($15 membership) AVP NEXT MEMB. FORM
Or you can register for AVP NEXT ONLINE ($10 membership). If your register online, please print out and bring a copy of your confirmation to check-in.

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP:

All JUNIOR participants in Northwest Volleyball outdoor events (tournaments) must be USAV Members. If you are not already a member (junior indoors) get your $15 Outdoor Membership HERE

The following documents are required at check-in:

PROOF OF MEMBERSHIP: How do you get it? Go to the USAV Membership Login Page and enter your personal Username and Password. Once you are on your personal page, look to the left column, and click "Print Membership Card" and print that page. That is your USAV Card. Keep it with you for USAV events...
MEDICAL HISTORY AND RELEASE FORM: Yes, the same one you gave to your club or coach at the beginning of the season. This is information the tournament director must collect in case you get injured at a tournament. It helps the Tournament Director know what procedures your parents want used to treat your injuries. It is also medical history for the doctors at the hospital... very important in case you have any allergies.

Where Do You Play?

There are so many great places to play pick-up volleyball in the greater Seattle/Eastside area: Green Lake, Alki Beach, Marymoor... Where do you play and what nights? Send us mail to info@volleyballnw.com and tell us! We'll post the areas, days, levels, classifications so everyone will know where to go.

Green Lake (Seattle), all types of grass play. Most weeknights and weekends
Sand? Best bet is probably Golden Gardens in Seattle. Several organizations host outdoor leagues at Alki Beach on weeknights and the beach is not typically available for open play.

TOURNAMENT POLICIES

· Tournaments begin at 9:00 am sharp.

· Check-in begins at 8:00 am; you must be checked-in at the Event Site by 8:45 AM.

· You may lose your spot in the tournament if you check-in after 8:45

· No Refunds for late arrivals.

· If you are under 18 your parent or guardian must sign your Membership Form.

· If it is raining: You must show up at the tournament, check-in, and be prepared to play.

· We virtually never cancel an event. If we do, it will be posted on the top of this outdoor page

· Sand tournaments are not canceled because of rain.

· In the highly unlikely event that we do cancel an event due because of Mother Nature, credits will be given to future events.

· If you enter by phone, fax, or E-Mail and chose not to show up you will lose those privileges for the rest of the season.

· The office closes at 1 PM on Fridays (Thursday for WENATCHEE). You will reach our answering machine after that time.

· No Phone/Fax/E-Mail Entries will be accepted after NOON on Fridays (Thursday for out of town tournaments).

· You always have the option to enter On-Site at the Event. Please be sure to show up between 8:00 and 8:30 to allow the tournament director time to add you to the draw.

· Walk-up registration includes a $10 per team late fee. Select tournaments have early entry deadlines to aid in logistical preparation.
